About Us

Typically they are called Cat Cafes, but basically a coffee shop with cats! At Ziggy’s Cat Lounge, you’ll have the unique experience of being able to hang out with our very own clowder of adoptable cats. We are working with a local shelter, so the cats come from various backgrounds, and getting them socialized for their furrever home is essential in their well being and success. If you happen to fall in love with one, we can help get you in contact with the Humane Society to start the application process!

• If you’re not ready to go into the Cat Lounge, that’s okay. We will have windows so you can see and enjoy the cats from a distance, without the bonus kitty glitter! (No reservation required)
• Reservations to enter the Cat Lounge are highly recommended, as we have limited space and cannot guarantee availability. 

 Our cat lounge does have a fee. Yes, I know. You gotta pay to play. I cringed at the idea too. However, these animals have needs just like you and me, so we need to ensure they are comfortable and taken care of while in our care. Adoption fees will go through the shelter because those are their cats. Ziggy's will simply be fostering them for you to give them love and the socialization skills needed to thrive in their new home.

 That would be crazy cat couple, Shane and Shannon Gabel. It was a snowball of ideas and events that led up to the idea of opening a cat cafe in town, and it took over a year for everything to come together, but we did it! Before this, I worked full time at a local dental office, while Shane is currently working at PSNS to keep our lights on. We have two cats of our own, Eva, a sweet Russian Blue and Ellie is an Orange chaos monster.
